CAPRA, a Configurable Architecture Proficiency Report Assessment tool, was just presented at the 38th International Conference on Software Engineering Education and Training (CSEE&T).
CAPRA is a multi-agent based system developed with the goal of support educators to efficiently and effectively provide tailored feedback on software architecture deliverables.
The tool was developed by Marco Becattini (STLab PhD student), Matteo Minin and Niccolò Caselli (STLab Students who based their Bachelor theses on the work), Roberto Verdecchia (STLab Assistant Professor), and Enrico Vicario (STLab head).
The agentic-first tool is based on the reference architecture SALLMA developer by the STLab, which was presented at the IEEE/ACM International Workshop on New Trends in Software Architecture (SATrends) in 2025.
The release of CAPRA highligths the ongoing STLab effort to promote cutting edge software architecture research, high quality software engineering student education, and balance software engineering theory with hands-on experience on modern systems.
